Busan

Haeundae Beach

The APEC House

President Cho and his wife

A Buddist Temple

For our 5 day weekend, we went to Busan for 4 of them. Busan is in the southeastern part of Korea. You can even take a ferry to Japan from there! We had a lot of fun here mainly because it wasn't Ansan. :) From the pictures you can see a beach. This beach is the most famous beach in Korea. It's even in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most parasols up and open at one time! The following weekend, supposedly, was the peak season having about 1 million people at the beach literally. Oh my!! That same day we met a man who called himself  President Cho. We met him on the subway and he was delighted to speak to us in English. We got his business card and he is the president of the company that deals with customs for foreigners. He wanted to meet up later at the beach, so we did. He and his wife took us to the APEC House, showed us the history of Haeundae, told us information about the Ohrukdo islets, and about Camilla Park. Another day we walked to the tower that was next to our motel. It's very popular to put a lock on the fence. I think it has to do with love. We didn't do it because we didn't have a lock. :( From there we journeyed to two Buddist Temples. The first was atop a small mountain. First we went through the forest and Jeremy went crazy with the camera. Then we looked at the temple itself. From there, we went to the next temple that was next to the water, but it was like over an hour bus ride because of traffic. Ugh! We finally made it, and it was an interesting one; different from the others. There was a huge golden buddha as well as a female buddha. Apologies about the last picture. I was tired of waiting for Jeremy to take his millions of pictures. :D That was our lovely trip to Busan and we had a great time.

  1. The photo of you smelling a flower is pretty good. I think you look very cute in the photo of you hiding behind a tree trunk. It seems when you relax and let the environment come around you, you look natural and quite pretty.
